Participated in the design and development of the original EIES email and
groupware system (Fortran , Pascal, Basic and Assembly Language).

Responsible
for management of research assistants and student employees, as
well as the evaluation and recommendation of computer and communications
equipment.

Projects included design and development of the Interact
interface language; Fortran compile postprocessor; the EIES text editor; a
network database management system; groupware user interfaces for information exchange; text
processing; indexing; searching; computer mediated instruction; information
filtering; project management and controlled experimentation in group systems,
human factors, usability and group decision aids.

Taught (adjunct) graduate and undergraduate courses, and
faculty/student seminars. Topics included Interact, Basic, string languages, BAL, hobby
microcomputers, Computer
Mediated Communications, entropy reduction and artificial intelligence.
